Configure a SSO Identity Source for Active Directory using the vSphere Web Client

I have a new vSphere 6.0 environment and need to configure SSO to authenticate users in Active Directory, as well as assign permissions using Active Directory groups.  Here are the steps used to configure an Identity Source for Active Directory:

  1. Log in to vSphere Web Client
  2. From the Navigator select Administration
  3. Under Single Sign-On click Configuration
  4. On the Identity Sources tab click Add Identity Source
  5. Select the Active Directory (Integrated Windows Authentication) option and configure the Identity Source using the appropriate details for your AD domain

    AD_Identity_Source

  6. Click OK
