vSphere Web Client – Export System Logs

One of my favourite features in the vSphere Web Client (vSphere 6.0) is the ability to easily export system logs.  Within the Hosts and Clusters or VMs and Templates view I can right-click on a host and select Export System Logs from the context menu.  This gives me the option to export a variety of different logs:

Export_Logs_Host

Or similarly I can export logs from an individual VM:

Export_Logs_VM

Once I have selected the logs to export, and click Generate Log Bundle, I can download them in a ZIP file by clicking Download Log Bundle.  Needless to say that this can be particularly useful when trying to diagnose a problem without having to use SSH to go and view the logs.
